Minutes of the Polk County Board of Review

Thursday, June 4th 2020

At 8:00 am the meeting was called to order by Chairperson Jane Viggers. Due to the State Public Health Emergency Declaration regarding COVID-19 and the Proclamation of Governor Kim Reynolds dated May 26, 2020, this meeting was conducted electronically pursuant to Iowa Code 21.8. While the public was not permitted to attend in person, notice was provided and an opportunity given to the public to attend electronically. Those members present were Roger Bak, Lora Jorgensen, Donna Koester, Amy Larson, John Mauro, Ruth O'Brien-German, Everett Sather, Leslie Turner, Jane Viggers and L. Max Wright. Let the record show Everett Sather left the meeting at 1:00 and John Mauro left the meeting at 1:30.

Due to the State Public Health Emergency Declaration regarding COVID-19 and the Proclamation of Governor Kim Reynolds dated May 26, 2020, all adjourned meetings will be conducted electronically pursuant to Iowa Code 21.8.

Notices of the proposed raises have been sent by first class mail as of this date to the owners/protestants at the post office address shown on the assessment record or the protest form. These notices have also been posted this date in a conspicuous place in the office or meeting room of the Board.

Upon completion of the business for the day and no objections, the Board adjourned until Friday, June 5th 2020 at 8:00 a.m. Meeting adjourned at 3:00 p.m.
